Research

Research helps provide an understanding of the various ways different people perceive the Church and what ... that really means for mission ... You begin to feed the organization ... so you can figure out what are the things that are most important for it to do.

Research consultant

The mission of CREDO Institute, Inc. is to serve as a collaborative alliance providing resources for Episcopal leadership and wellness programs. Conducting research in areas of identity and wellness is an important aspect of fulfilling our mission.

Evaluation of CREDO's Impact

In results of a 2010 survey of participants who have attended a CREDO Conference, derived from an in-depth, interview-based study in 2005 to determine the impact of CREDO over five years on participants and their families, congregations, dioceses, and the Episcopal Church, conference participants noted specific changes they experienced and observed as a result of CREDO. That report, "Evaluation of CREDO's Impact" (October 2010), is available. In a sample quotation from the survey: “I can speak from first-hand experience of a priest in my diocese who, because his CREDO wellness plan, completely changed his life and became a beacon of healthy choices for his congregation and the diocese.”

Clergy Wellness Report

Completed in 2006, the Episcopal Clergy Wellness Report seeks to provide a long-term, systemic, and strategic perspective to strengthen clergy and ultimately the Church through a focus on wellness.
